Pick Up Heel:
Knit across the 12(14) heel sts, now using the same needle pick up and knit 14(16) sts along the side of the heel flap. You will be picking up the 12(14) slipped sts plus 2 extra (these extra 2 sts help to avoid getting a hole where the flap begins).
Using a new needle, K2 P2 across all the remaining 24 (28) sts that were being held while you worked the heel. There will now be 24(28) sts all on one needle. Using a new needle, pick up and knit 14(16) sts along the other side of the heel flap. When you have done this, continue knitting an additional 6(7) sts from your first needle onto the working needle.
